PASTORAL CARE
Communities that care for each other and treat people with dignity and respect are a hallmark of Anglican schools. Esperance Anglican Community School offers students a strong pastoral care program, focusing on individual support and guidance.
The responsibility for pastoral care rests with every member of staff, with pastoral care teachers or tutors seeking to ensure that each young person in their care experiences a sense of belonging and acceptance.
Christian living and Chaplaincy are integral to the life of Anglican schools. Regular opportunities for worship enable students, staff and families to gather as a community to celebrate life in all its fullness. Christian Religious Studies and Chapel Services are part of the School’s core curriculum for all students.
Anglican Ethos
Esperance Anglican Community School provides families with an education based on Christian faith and practice in the Anglican tradition as a basis for living. EACS has a close relationship with the St Andrew’s Anglican Parish and maintains links with other Esperance churches. The School’s beliefs are practised through:
Care and concern for each individual member of the School community
Care and concern for the wider community
Development and implementation of our educational program based on Gospel values and incorporating a strong philosophy and practice of pastoral care.
Christian values and the teachings of Jesus Christ are at the centre of the School’s philosophy and practice.
All students are required to attend weekly Chapel services, study Christian/Religious Studies and participate in other aspects of the School’s worship.
Esperance Anglican Community School has strong parish connections with the Anglican Parish of Esperance.
