OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Through interaction with the natural world, the EACS Outdoor Education program develops an understanding of our relationship with the environment, ourselves and others. The program provides real-world learning experiences that contribute to a sustainable world.

We take a three-phased approach to outdoor education learning opportunities:

  • Plan
  • Action
  • Review

Students plan outdoor experiences, participate in these experiences and reflect on their involvement. We offer both Year 11 and Year 12 Outdoor Education General Courses to students.

Year 11

In Year 11 students take part in snorkelling, kayaking, hiking and other outdoor activities including overnight camps and a five-day expedition.

Year 12

Year 12 students take part in fishing, sailboarding and cycling as well as an overnight camp and a five-day cycling camp to Rottnest.
